Could you be the next Miss City of Orange?
To be eligible to compete young women must live, work (full time) or attend school in the City of Orange or the Unified School District.
Must be between the ages of 17-24 and be at least a senior in high school.
Must be a United States citizen.
Must be of good moral character.
Must never have been married.
Must never have been pregnant.
Contestants will compete in six areas of competition.
Talent: A ninety second routine of their choosing. 35% of score.
Personal Interview: A ten minute press conference style interview before a panel of judges. 25% of score.
Evening Wear: Contestants appear on stage in outfit representative of what she would wear to a formal "after five" social event. 20% of score.
Physical Fitness in Swimsuit:Contestants appear briefly on state in a swimsuit of her choosing. 15% of score.
On State Question: A phase of competition designed for contestants to make an on stage statement of her interests, opinions and aspirations. 5% of score.
Miss City of Orange contestants should have a personal platform, a concept introduced by Miss America in 1989. Each contestant throughout competition is evaluated on her commitment to her chosen issue.
